According to the measuring station, there is probably over 2.5m of snow on the Seegrube. The mountain pines are now also relatively well covered in snow and you can ski quite a bit in the immediate area. A bit of a deduction as you still have to be a bit careful in the dense forest below approx. 1300m. Due to the strong wind, the ridges will probably also be blown away. Otherwise you can get right down to the Hungerburg.

It doesn't get much better than this: unbelievably deep, fluffy fresh snow. Even in the dense forest, you don't know whether you're in Tyrol or Japan :D Limited visibility due to many face shots.

Risks

Due to the large amount of fresh snow, the situation is critical and will worsen in the coming days. No noticeable wind influence below the Seegrube today. But it will probably have blown a lot, especially higher up. Stay below the tree line and be rather defensive in the coming days. I can imagine that the Nordkette will not open on Sunday if there is as much fresh snow as the oracle predicts.

I wasn't up there until 2pm, but the two hours were incredible. The Nordkette is probably open in the mornings and it must have been really busy. Relatively few people in the afternoon. In the direct ski area, of course, everything was already completely packed. But with a bit of local knowledge and if you turn off at the right place, there were still conditions like you see in Japow movies. Amazing!
There was even someone with a snorkel :D
