Enough snow from the valley floor. Only the wind has blown some of the mountain pine tops free in exposed positions. Pillows in the forest.
Snow quality
The free slope we skied above the tree line was wind-pressed but without a lid and easy to ski. In the forest there was a lot of powder.
Risks
Towards Karwendel, over-snow-covered old cracks visible below ridges. Drift snow massively visible on leeward slopes.
Overall impression
Tyrol or Norway? Tyrol today. A return ascent instead of a summit that can probably only be reached with alpine ambition. Very nice overall experience.
