Skitour im nördlichen Karwendel am Sylvensteinspeicher (west, 900 - 2100 m) --> Einordnung unklar, evtl Bayerische Voralpen

Snow condition
The fresh snow of the past few days is blown or heavily compacted near the ridge, below 1500 m no continuous descent was possible on our tour, which is mainly exposed to the west.
Snow quality
Below 1500 m we found a completely soaked blanket of snow. Above that (up to 2100 m), the snow also suffered badly over the course of the day, but was still easy to ski on at the time of our departure.
Risks
The avalanche situation did not play a limiting role on our max. 30 degree steep tour. There was no old snow here and the amount of snow in the lower area was not large enough to pose a threat from sliding snow.
Overall impression
The beautiful weather gave us a great day. Nevertheless, that doesn't hide the fact that we've had to go on too many ski tours in spring conditions this year.
The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.
Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
