Snow condition
Downhill runs are not possible up to the Arzler Alm and you can only get there with the motto "better to ski badly than to ski well". Even at the top, the ridges and crests in particular are snowed out. Shark danger prevails there. Overnight there was around 20cm in some of the gullies 30cm. However, these are also on an icy base. Mountain pine fields are of course not yet covered in snow. Generally much worse than before last week's warm phase.
Snow quality
Good powder from 11.30 then becoming damp. Creamy but still good to ski. Best to ski in the slumped areas where the snow comes together from the sides.
Risks
Fresh snow was very unbound and slid directly on the icy old snow cover. However, there was no slab formation.
Overall impression
Weather day, usual karst stress, but Ullr punished the overhasty with some sharks on the first descent, which led to spectacular crashes. As an Innsbrucker with a season ticket, you can give yourself 3 short runs - not worth it for everyone else. Nevertheless, the Nordkette always gets the most fresh snow with small dumps due to the accumulation effects.
