Snow condition
From zero to 100 over the weekend in the truest sense of the word. The meter was safely cracked on the Seegrube. If you ski carefully, the descent to Hungerburg is possible. There is still about 20cm of snow there, which was mainly added last night. How long the snow will stay that far down is questionable. It's still not quite enough for the trees and mountain pine slopes. We were only out and about on the unprepared piste.
Snow quality
As I said, up to 1m of fluffy pow at the top, which gets heavier and heavier further down. If it's steep enough, faceshots and whiteroom are pre-programmed!
Risks
We were only below the tree line. Hardly any wind influence noticeable here. Further up, however, it was certainly stormy.
Overall impression
After trudging up on rock skis/boards yesterday, we ventured up today with skins and a bit more of our beloved winter sports equipment. Unfortunately, the Nordkette is still closed and, according to the measuring stations, it hasn't snowed nearly as much around it, so we had no other choice. Nevertheless! A descent to the Hungerburg without any stone contact and alone on the untracked piste - what more could you want?
