Snow condition
Plenty of snow from the 2-seater chair. But the mountain pines are not yet closed here either. Almost nothing below 1500m, although you could probably get to Hungerburg on forest paths somehow. But 0 base in the forest. On the Fleischbank there is about 50cm, which was also ridden. The gullies from the very top are well filled. But there's still a bit of snow missing on the ridge at the top to have a completely continuous snow cover.
Snow quality
A good 50cm has fallen in the last few days, including settling. But they haven't fallen without wind and you can tell: the snow is cold but not unbound. On the west side, just below 2000m, there is already a light cover from the sun. Overall, however, no real problem when riding.
Risks
According to LLB level 3, difficult to assess objectively due to the blasting. You can see some cornices on the ridge. Otherwise, I noticed a slide on a meadow in a variant where the entire snow cover was torn (see photo).
Overall impression
A fine gift that the lift on the cirque opened right at the first sunshine. The gullies are already going really well. Even if the mountain pines often still prevent free travel, it's already going quite well. Let's hope that there's more to come, we want to ski down into the valley again soon :)
