Far below average - as almost everywhere. A reasonably rideable base can be found at about 1400m above the Rhine valley. If it hadn't been for the storm that blew away every little elevation, ridge and crest.

Snow quality

2 von 5 Sterne

Yes, the fresh snow would have been great, but it's only in a few hollows and gullies and I didn't dare go there today. Otherwise it was blown off, either down to the grass, rock or extensive ice, the heat gun from last Friday Saturday sends its regards.

Risks

Very tricky. Saw several self-timer releases in the terrain over 2200m. Wind, wind, wind, wherever you looked with corresponding results. The snow plumes were visible even from really distant mountains, especially Piz Kesch and Piz Linard were impressive, and I also saw two full-grown "snow pants" opposite....

Overall impression

3 von 5 Sterne

Despite this, 3 stars, as the slopes were empty and the snow groomers managed to stick the fresh snow on the ice for half a day and outside is still better than inside.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
