Actually quite decent by now. From about 1000m northwards you can ride offside. With good will, even as far as the Rhine Valley. The rule is: be ruthless towards yourself and your equipment. That's my strength...

The south wind, or rather storm, was really bad from about 1800m upwards. At one point I was actually blown over by a gust... The snow quality was correspondingly good at the top, and the wind speed dropped continuously the lower you got. From about 1500m you could hardly feel anything. In the valley there was no wind at all. The snow there was actually OK, although quite heavy and frozen hard at the very bottom.

Risks

Really bad due to the storm. Saw several self-disintegrations in the steep terrain close to the ridge. It was really heavily loaded. Chutes and steeper terrain were out of the question.

Overall impression

2 von 5 Sterne

OK. Good weather, a few decent turns, impressive wind impressions and off home again.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
