Snow condition

20 cm fresh snow

The snow situation is still thin, the announced replenishment is urgently needed.

Snow quality

Powder snow

The approx. 20 cm of fresh snow was tiptop, with the 5 cm from the day before it was quite usable. Of course I felt the underlayers, but for the most part they were nice and regular, which was fun.

Risks

Cracking (When entering the snow cover)
Woom- or hissing noise
West North-West

Wind intensity: Medium (20 – 40 km/h)

According to the SLF, the area with the most favorable snowpack structure, but read the bulletin carefully and act accordingly. Drifting snow was manageable, but yesterday there was a good whump followed by a "shooting crack" (see photo)

Overall impression

4 von 5 Sterne
Better

In good snow and weather the whole day alone (despite the busy parking lot) in great surroundings, enough for 4 stars.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
