There was still enough base from the last few weeks and on top of that there was another 20 cm on Friday. We were out in a group of 5 and there was only one stone contact over the whole day. Not a bad rate for this winter.

It must have rained quite heavily again on Thursday. That's why the base under the 20 cm of fresh snow was quite crunchy. We actually only skied north-facing slopes, so we couldn't complain even with the spring-like temperatures.

Risks

The SLF issued a 3 for today. The reason for this was the wind with all its consequences. You could also see a few small drops on the south side during the course of the day, which were caused by the warm temperatures. We ourselves were on the moderate terrain, but the rest of the pack actually rode everything.

Overall impression

Nice evening in the bus with beer and schnapps, cold night in the bus, cozy breakfast right at the valley station, forgetting to buy the numbered lift tickets (8 francs each) in the morning, awesome crew, great weather and surprisingly good snow with the possibility to ski down to the valley (1177m north slope). Conclusion: It was a really good day on which everything went well. The only thing we still need to practise a bit is the lift tickets for the Chäppeliberg-Spilau cable car.
