Snow condition

Descent to valley (to 1000 m)
Blown backs
Variations of snow cover

Continuous snow cover from 1000 meters, if you exclude the south-facing slopes. West and east-facing slopes are already struggling with the sun and the wind has probably contributed the most to the fact that it is already pretty bare in exposed places.

Snow quality

2 von 5 Sterne
Hard, pressed snow
Breakable crust
Powder snow

The entire ski tour was actually in the northern sector. You could still find some nice powder there in some places. Wherever the sun came out briefly during the course of the day, a cap formed fairly quickly.

Risks

Diurnal warming
South South-West West

Wind intensity: Low (< 20 km/h)

Relatively stable conditions. Heating should be taken into account.

Overall impression

Equal

Nice tour on the Forstberg with moderate crowds. Conditions are okay, but more for alpine adventures than for nice powder runs.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!

Thank you for your contribution to the PowderGuide project!
