In the Rhine Valley there are a few centimetres over 500m. On the north side, you could slide down to here on one or two meadow slopes, e.g. on the classic Gampanei. From about 1000m upwards there was a good 30cm, at 1800m, I wasn't any higher today, similar to about 70cm here in the Allgäu. Or rather, the wind was a storm, depending on the exposure, and the snowfall was horizontal. For whatever reason, I had much more contact with the ground today than the last few days.

Very different thanks to the storm, sometimes pressed powder, sometimes wind harsh but also the most beautiful soft absorbent cotton.

Risks

Massive snow drifts, with zero visibility you hardly do any experiments, but even harmless steep terrain edges are a problem when meter-high/long cornices form, which can then become a trap.

Yesterday was perfect weather, today the opposite, but also impressive. Storm, snow and still fun...

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
