Snow condition
You can still drive down into the high valleys of Trollheimen to the parking lot. The granite and gneiss sharks are slowly awakening from hibernation and carefree navigation is becoming increasingly difficult on the north side, but is still possible. It is best to stick to the deep (driving) gullies and hollows that have been blown in
Snow quality
On the shaded side, 5 - 30 cm of powder snow has been preserved on a soft base - partly completely unaffected. Further down, however, it lies on broken snow, but with the right choice of tour you can easily avoid this altitude (or overcome it without any problems on the flat approach).
Risks
Stage 2: Wet snow problem further down on the south side, then classic snow slab danger further up in the east sector. We saw a medium-sized avalanche in the distance, presumably triggered by a cornice break, which triggered another one. Difficult to estimate from a distance. Something between 20 and 80 cm sector NE approx. 1400mh
Overall impression
Found a nice powder mountain and no rocks, great snow, great sun and alone on the mountain. Keep up the good work!
The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.
Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
