Variations of snow cover

There is still snow up to 400-500m. After that, snow is sparse but with the current easterly wind, the western gullies are snowed in ok.

Hard, pressed snow
Powder snow

It already has a base at the top (1200-900) There even powder, untracked at this time of year:) otherwise just too thin

Risks

No warning signs
East South-East

Wind intensity: Low (< 20 km/h)

Too little snow to be able to observe a dangerous sandwich. The greatest danger is stone contact in steep terrain. I estimate the avalanche danger to be very, very low. Avalanche warning service not yet running.

Setting curves for the first time. See the sun one last time before we say goodbye to it for 2022. Course with Merrick Mordal, local and perhaps national legend. One day with fluffy flow and long sunshine descent for the price of climbing up 40 degree steep terrain without good snow base and somehow having to get down again. Another day with a gully ascent and more mountaineering than skiing. Smart skiing, jumpturns and hopefully as little rock contact as possible with this technique. Learned a lot, being outside is always worthwhile. Not making my first turns on a safe slope is also a new experience. Mega stoked to see what the winter will bring and how it will be with the darkness. Learning. Homogeneous groups are great, weaknesses and strengths will simply be strengthened by the community on tour.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
