Snow report Northern Norway, 11/21/2015

Here in Tromsø, too, we've had between 40 and 60 cm of fresh snow over the last two days. So we used the last rays of sunshine for this year and went for a short hike on Kjolen, 5 km west of Tromsø

Quite good at the top (600m) with 60-80 cm, although it could be more. There are still some rocks sticking out due to the wind. At the bottom it would also need something to make the forest more rideable (30-40cm).

Nice and cold and fluffy, just as it should be.

Risks

Today we were once again only on the flat. You can see a clear wind influence at the top, which must have deposited a lot on the steeper northern slopes.

Great to see the sun for the last time this year. In Tromsø it's already behind the mountains for the whole day. The official polar night starts on 27.11 and ends on 15.01.. Snow was also good, so everything was great!
