There was about 5 cm of snow in the valley and 10 to 15 to 20 cm in places at higher altitudes. Nevertheless, many ridges are almost bare... not all variants are possible. As is so often the case, the valley descent is not particularly good... (snow-earth mixture)

Today there was fresh pow without wind and only mini cornices on the ridge. Even on steep slopes the fresh snow was unbound and sometimes so deep that you could sink your whole pole into it. apart from this spot, the snow was nice to ride for the most part but only covered dangerous objects... so it was good if you knew where it was bare before and where there was a base. With a bit of creativity and track work you could ride great lines today

Risks

The fresh snow was loose, super light and unbound and remained so into the afternoon. Smaller loose snow avalanches come off when skiing in terrain that is around 35-40 degrees steep, so you should make sure that they don't take you over fall terrain. We were only on relaxed slopes. The base is also missing for everything else. A skicut in extremely steep terrain at about 2000m Expo East could not trigger anything except the loose snow. We didn't see any brittle drift snowboards today.

With a little creativity, discovered a few mini-lines on the Nebelhorn. There are not many variations. The fresh snow, when caught with a base, is really fun
