Festive evening tour - exquisite winter atmosphere

Snow condition
Sonnenköpfe - descent to Hinang possible on request. Massive on the mountain - more than enough in the valley!
Snow quality
On Sunday, the snow line briefly rose to 1300 meters. So from 1000-1300 meters 20 cm of fine powder on hard, stable cover. Above 1300 meters, depending on the exposure, nice lightly settled powder, partly shaped by the wind. Where the sun was on it for longer, there was already a light cover towards evening.
Risks
Still very tricky in principle - tours are possible up to the tree line on shallow slopes. Above the tree line, due to all the snow + wind = lots of cornices and drift snow - weak layers can be seen in the snowpack structure. The situation will continue to improve over the next few days - but safety first!
Overall impression
Super evening tour - above 1300 meters mega beautiful winter landscape - still great sunset descent tracked down. As always best pictures by Skibuddy (c) Martin Hölle
