Snow condition
There is now about 1 m of snow on our doorstep at around 800 m. Fences and small rivers are snowed in. There was no contact with the ground.
Snow quality
Still powdery everywhere. After the strong sunshine, most of the snow has become a little warmer. But that's good for downhill skiing as you don't sink in as deeply. Compared to yesterday, you can at least make a few turns and no longer push a bow wave in front of you.
Risks
When making tracks even across the flat moor, there are settling noises that really scare you. There are (unfortunately) few slopes above 30 degrees here near Stiefenhofen, so no avalanche activity could be observed. Playing skat would have been even more defensive today
Overall impression
When is there such a thing? A Co2-free journey and a tour straight from the foothills of the Alps. A powder dream day. It's half as bad that you can count the turns on two hands. As long as the avalanches in the middle and high mountains remain cheeky, it's worth exploring the local foothills and the neighbors are happy too
