Fresh powder, up to the knee, with a well-set base.

Below the tree line, still fine champagne powder on the north side. Well set on the south side, but still loose. Rarely a little wind-capped on the crests, and with a bit of intuition there is still plenty of untracked terrain to be found in the area.

Risks

I can confirm everything that the Lawi says for the Allgäu: blown-in gullies and hollows. Blown-in areas above the timberline and sliding snow mouths on steep meadow slopes could be observed on today's tour. In addition, an extremely strong and very cold easterly wind, well above freight strength.

With today's weather, the unique cloud and fog atmosphere, the freshly snow-covered mountain landscape and the "end-time awesome powder (:= EZG)", it was one of those days ... (see also pictures)
