Things get tight below 1000 m
Snow quality
Overnight it rained up to 1400m. A few mm - cm of fresh snow above that and between 1100 and 1400 m a.s.l. this resulted in a really nasty cover. Below that really "nice" cardboard snow. Fortunately, there was still some powder snow left above 1600 m (N/W).
Risks
Above 1700 m, caution is still required. In gullies and hollows (drift snow deposits) as usual - but this will keep us busy all winter.
Overall impression
Too bad it didn't have to rain. Tonight everything will be nice and icy.
