The snow conditions are almost perfect. Although the snow has lost some of its edge compared to last weekend, that's complaining on a high level - we started today at the Ostertal parking lot at around 1000m. Everything is covered in deep snow, even in the forest you can get down everywhere without any problems.

Today it was a range from powdery, hardpack to catastrophic wet snow, but one thing after another. At our highest point at 1670m we were surprised with loose powder (north-east sector). Great for skiing. Creamy up to 1300m with increasing moisture in the snowpack. Everything below and especially in the forest was totally soaked and difficult to ski.

Risks

According to the LLB, there was a 2 today, which I would also sign. The snow cover made a good impression, we skied slopes with over 30 degrees today. I see problems in the south sector. Due to the warm temperatures of the last few days, a melt crust has formed, which could become a problem with the next snowfalls.

I keep reading in CR'S... you have to get creative, that's exactly what we did today and it was the right decision. At the Ochsenkopf or Rangiswanger Horn we could see crowds of people.

Walking off the normal route, there are so many alternatives and the snow quality on the northern slopes was great.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
