Descents down to the valley at around 1000 m are still possible. South-facing slopes are not as good down to the valley. Otherwise more snow than in other years.
Snow quality
Depending on the slope exposure and choice of tour, everything is still possible. Compact powder, firn - great for skiing. Of course, there were also sections with a hard crust/cap. With the right choice of tour, you have a clear advantage.
Risks
Has certainly relaxed again. Some things have already come down. Large cracks bear witness to this. Some guards still look threatening.
Overall impression
Got more than expected. Good day with Ski Buddy on the mountain. Good timing and good tour choice with little effort and maximum yield Therefore 4 stars. Pictures (c) by Martin Hölle
