Snow condition

Up to 10am today it's 4 stars, it will decrease during the day. At the starting point at 1400m 20 cm of fresh snow and still snowfall at 11am, below 1200m it's already raining.

Snow quality

Still fine to ride until 10 o'clock, but of course no longer dry. There were also no face shots. On the third ascent, it started to get cloudy and I surrendered to the weather.

In this area, even without skiing, almost everything is covered in snow, so even at +35° I had no concerns. I triggered a small and slow loose snow slide in a less frequented gully. Two avalanche blasts could be heard and from midday onwards it became quite dangerous.

Overall impression

I've got €5 ready for the piggy bank, but today the early bird caught the (powder) worm. Between 1400m and 1700m I picked up some nice powder, before a lot of it was destroyed far up the mountain. And I wouldn't have thought that I was the only one in the area until I left at 10am. A solid 3 stars with a tendency towards 4.
