Another 10-20 cm of fresh snow overnight from 800 meters! Descents down to the valley in front of the car possible. Great - forest runs are now also possible.
Snow quality
Another 10-20 cm of beautiful powder was added overnight. So since Sunday evening, 30-40 cm of fine powder snow has been added - on a firm/hard crust. BEST powder from 1300 meters.
Risks
A little tricky. Fresh snow came with a lot of wind. On the ridges, cornices and drifting snow. Lots of snow drifts above the tree line.
Overall impression
Super powder yield for the end of the day tour. Really fat - luckily the wide poles were packed and done properly. Of course the 5 stars are not for all exposures and for the whole Allgäu. But definitely justified for the right spot. Best pictures as always (c) Martin Hölle Photographie
