It's coming along well now. Also rideable in the deepest valleys (600m). A good 30-40cm there. At 1200m approx. 1m of snow, if not blown off. Then it continues to climb, but of course the wind also has an influence. So there are bottomless drifts next to zero snow in ridge/summit locations.

Very good. Cold and fluffy. But also a lot of drift snow.

Risks

Tense. Today there was massive snowfall all day. According to the Boen measuring station, it was around 50kmh, with a base wind of 20-30kmh. We climbed the same ridge 3 times within 3 hours. Depending on the exposure, our tracks were knee-deep again after an hour...

Overall impression

Very beautiful. Pure winter feeling. It cleared up briefly for an hour, otherwise snow, wind, winter. After a week away from home, we saw how great it can be here too...

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
