s`Allgäu gets a big beating
Oberstdorf
Snow condition
Snow quality
Overall impression
Snow condition
Since yesterday noon there has been another 30-45 cm of fresh snow in the Allgäu. 30 - 40 cm in the valley 120 - 180 cm in the mountains, depending on the wind.
Snow quality
beautiful powder - above the tree line unfortunately with a lot of wind for skiing, the snow is still great - but bad for building up the snowpack
Risks
Unfortunately, the white splendor came with wind - above the tree line it can get really tricky or already is.
Overall impression
Wonderful when it snows and snows like this - a dream for freeriders in the Allgäu. Will also get the 5 star - but : - the visibility is not optimal. - Also a lot of wind whistling above 1600 m - I don't mind but the avalanche danger is increasing
