Snow condition
Not quite as lush yet, but above 1400 / 1500 meters it is slowly getting windy, which is why the last few days have also brought a lot of snow - descents into the valley are best on forest roads or on slopes
Snow quality
Below 1300 meters, broken snow above 5-20 cm of powder snow shaped by the wind. In wind-calmed hollows and gullies sometimes 30 cm and more of powder snow
Risks
Wind intensity: Medium (20 – 40 km/h)
Very tricky above the tree line and steep slopes stuff 3 to 4 considered tour choice we opted for tour up to about 1800 meters. The strong wind on Friday caused the snow to shift and there was a risk of avalanches - we couldn't see any avalanches on the tour
Overall impression
I'd mind says the Allgäuer under the current avalanche situation found safe slopes with beautiful powder snow. Good snow conditions from 1500 meters
