Snow condition
a bit more snow than yesterday in the balderschwang area. i was on the south side and still below the forest line. from 1000m there is about 5cm of snow. you can (still) start skiing from the road. in the afternoon it was rather scarce to ski down. streams are pretty full and no longer snowed in. further up, there's just enough for a free choice of lines, but you have to circle around empty or blown-off spots. the ice crust from yesterday doesn't seem to exist here on the south side.
Snow quality
the sun has softened the cover. it's still there in the shade. on the descent, the snow is very heavy and completely crushed.
Risks
safe, but far too little snow for larger loose snow slides. sliding snow doesn't seem to be an issue (yet) either. i haven't seen any fresh mouths.
Overall impression
not much better snow conditions than yesterday. but again bluebird (1stern) and you can still make meaningful tours on the south side (2stern). unfortunately there is nothing more. tomorrow we will test the situation above the forest border, in tirol.
