Snow condition

1 von 5 Sterne

After the total destruction of the best snow conditions of the last 10 years up to and including Sunday, 15 to 20 cm were added yesterday and another 10 cm today. Just saved in skiable conditions down to the valley. At least it will probably stay cold enough for at least 1 week now... February could be saved.

Snow quality

Absolutely top cold blower. However, not much, max. 10 - 15 cm and it is currently being blown away. Underneath is a compact layer of hard snow, some of it icy. Yesterday it was bound drift snow, maybe 15 to 20 cm.

Risks

Today unbound loose cold top snow. Two today and yesterday. However, there was no sign of a two yesterday. Every drift snow pack could be triggered immediately and with little effort. Even in 30 degree terrain. Today was completely different, in my opinion the two was suitable, only loose snow on the surface. However, there is a lot of snow being transported at the moment.

Perfect evening atmosphere and good snow. Top. Within a few minutes it completely cleared right on the summit, zero visibility before that!

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
