Snow condition
It is still possible to descend into the valley, but you have to reckon with nasty fine contact here. Stones keep poking out. From about 1400m there is a very good snow cover.
Snow quality
You can still find powder snow in the consistently shady terrain. On the south, south-west and west sides there is a 5-10cm thick layer of snow that is not really stable. On the east side we found quite a lot of drift snow.
Risks
According to the LLB warning level 1-2, the main danger is currently drift snow. I would confirm this. We have made a snow profile on the east side. There was a compact layer of about 5-10cm on top. This was followed by a frozen layer before it became gritty again. However, we were unable to release this layer. There were also some older self-releases and a few sliding snow mouths visible.
Overall impression
Super nice day. Unfortunately, the slopes were already pretty plowed up. But there was hardly anything going on today, at least where we were.
