Snow condition

From Baad, it's still easy to ski from the valley with enough snow. The warmth next week will certainly change that quickly.

Snow quality

3 von 5 Sterne

The ascent via Widdersteinalpe is easy to do, in the lower part a little difficult due to very icy tracks and avalanche boulders. Greater grip further up in the cirque. Crampons necessary. The descent to the east at the top is a good mogul slope with good grip; further down in the sunnier sections there is already deeper slush. Descent at 10.30 a.m.: no firn at the top, deeper slush in the lower part.

Risks

It is essential to pay attention to the time of day when it warms up; very early descent necessary for sunny exposures. Smaller slides have already left sunny steep slopes at 10 am.

Overall impression

2 von 5 Sterne

Not top conditions, but everything was quite skiable. At the top, grippy old snow and quasi mogul slope, then slush after the cirque.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
