Snow condition

Underground, no foundation, nothing, only a 5-15cm (still) compact snow cover from the mountain into the valley, but this is interrupted everywhere by meadows, rocks, undergrowth etc.. Fast driving is quickly punished. In a few hollows and gullies there is a little more. Of course, this is only on the north side. On the south side, up to approx. 1400 m, it is completely bare.

In places firn on load-bearing ground, but mostly (broken) hard snow.

Risks

Hardly any snow left up to about 1800m, LLB issued a 1 today up to 2000m.

Overall impression

The whole thing is a tragedy. After just 8 weeks of winter light, it's already over again. A pointless search for snow patches in the height of winter in February - to forget. And I'm skeptical, what is supposed to happen now, a reasonably long-term basis, where is that supposed to come from in March?

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
