fits - snow is enough. Even in the grove, on the video game descents, enough - of course partly crusty - but it's March now ...
Snow quality
So above 1400 m good to very good. On a firm base, 15-30 cm of powder was added yesterday until this morning. Above the tree line, the wind has removed some of the snow in places. With a bit of intuition you could find great lines (first line in the Seelekopf Kessel and down into Farnach and a few other runs) Below 1300m 15-20cm on hard crust
Risks
The sluff was present on the steep slopes. Good line choice with regard to stopping points and a safe run-out is essential. Quote from the current LLB: "Tours and variant descents require experience in assessing avalanche danger and route selection"
Overall impression
Better than expected - searched for and found good lines. Time management - relaxed freeriding in the Allgäu "La Grave" without too much stress - that's why I'm adding the 4 star to the 3 star average - period! The sun came through at just the right time. And then enough time for skiing with the kids
