Snow condition

At least there's enough snow again now to start from the bottom. I started today at 850m in Obermaiselstein and was able to start skiing from the bottom without any problems.

Unfortunately, we are no longer benefiting from the snowfall of the last few days. Due to the abnormal warmth, the snow has unfortunately already become damn wet and heavy. I hoped the whole time I was climbing that it would get better at the top, but even at 1700m it was super heavy. Unfortunately, it also rained a bit this morning.

Risks

At the top, the ridges and peaks are still pretty blown off. Otherwise it was rather uncritical in terms of avalanche conditions at the altitude below 1700m. Couldn't see any wet loose snow avalanches either.

At least there is now snow again to ski down to below 1000m. But the question is how long it will stay that way at these temperatures.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
