Snow report Oberstdorf, 03/01/2014
Schlechtester Tag seit langem
Snow condition
Snow quality
Overall impression
Snow condition
Unchanged. On a few north-facing exposures, you can ski around 800m in the valley. The south-facing slopes are open or barely skiable far up. From approx. 1400m upwards it's actually quite ok, whereby gullies and north-facing slopes are clearly the best choice. Nothing works at all in the forest. Stones are relatively common.
Snow quality
Well. Very compact, barely powdery. At least at altitudes below 1800m. But I couldn't go searching with zero visibility.
Risks
Quite favorably a 1 from bottom to top. But I can't say anything about it as there was absolutely nothing to see.
Overall impression
Zero, comma zero visibility. You can only go back home or to the sauna. I had hoped it would at least clear up a bit in the afternoon, but there was nothing...
