Snow condition

Started from the parking lot at Grasgehren-Lifte (1440m), there is still enough snow here, it will go on for quite a while. About 20cm of fresh powder fell here overnight, mostly without wind, on a firm base. Best conditions in the whole area. If you let it go, you hit the old snow cover, but I found that less disturbing.

Snow quality

Cold, powder, quality at its best, couldn't be better. We started at 8:15 a.m. and the quality in all expos was 1A. Only towards noon did it get heavier on the sunny side, sector south, real cardboard snow. There will definitely be something to harvest on the north side in the coming days.

Overall, the snow cover made a good impression. The fresh snow bonded well with the existing snow cover, but we triggered a loose snow slide on a steep slope at around 35 degrees. At midday, the sun was really powerful, so you really have to keep an eye on your watch. Danger spots were visible and could be avoided. I would confirm the 2 of the LLB.

Overall impression

Great weather, super fresh snow and a beautiful tour on the Riedberg Pass. Even if the crowds all rush to the summit here, you can draw your own lines with flexibility.
