Hard, pressed snow
Breakable crust

Firn

Top firn on the south side, even in the afternoon, that would have deserved 5 stars. But the rain grooves... or rather the poor snow cover which only insufficiently compensates for unevenness. Tends to be better on the steeps than on the flats. Northern expos sometimes really bad. Avalanche deposits, incipient bush snow... You're really happy when you have a smooth, icy snow surface.

Risks

Crevasse or fall danger
Diurnal warming
West

Wind intensity: Low (< 20 km/h)

Danger of falling and daytime skiing. Even in places where you think "everything should be down" there is a new wet snow slide on the descent

Overall impression

Equal

Beautiful firn found. Crampons are often useful on the ascent. You should have them with you. The forest trail from Warmatsgund is one of the most ski-friendly I know.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
