Snow report Oberstdorf, 03/14/2014
Some off-piste riding on the Fellhorn - summit hollow to Schlappoldsee. The weather was better than expected early in the morning. Just in time at 14:00 the weather changed with rain and snowfall from 1300 meters upwards

The whole week we had 2-digit plus temperatures during the day. Fortunately, it was slightly below zero overnight. However, this caused the snow cover to shrink significantly. Snow cover still closed on the north side above 1500m

Firn and some heavy powder on the north side were quite nice to ski above the tree line
Risks
low - but as has been the case all week; rapidly increasing during the course of the day. Heavy ground snow avalanches have been coming down all week
Overall impression
Weather still quite good - snow like in spring for some fun in the firn and residual snow surfing.
