Exposition
Snow condition
Southern exposures below 1400m are also becoming more and more exposed with increasing steepness, today the descent was just about possible at around 30°. You will have to carry very soon. Ridge, ridges also already starting to snow out. Northern exposures still very good.
Snow quality
Already at 11 a.m. slush instead of firn, but fun to ski. Under 1400m of braking snow, completely soaked. From Sunday you can get up a little later for firn. Powder still to be found on the north side.
Risks
Wind intensity: Low (< 20 km/h)
Note daytime warming, sliding snow activity. Saw a very fresh one in Expo S. A westerly wind came up from midday, which also brought veil clouds. It should be clear again at night, so radiation is expected to be good.
Overall impression
Very relaxed tour with fun sulz and sunbathing on the alp. But the search for powder is still worthwhile.
