Crossing the Nagelfluhkette by fair means

moderate (2)
Exposition
Snow condition
North-facing descent to Mittagbahn valley station possible with small carrying passage. Other expos good from 1500, apart from ridges, ridge etc.
Snow quality
Due to the veil of clouds, the firn didn't form until late. The few centimetres of fresh snow were quite easy to ski, mostly in the form of firn and slab powder. Full throttle was not an option, however, as old tracks and avalanche bumps were only minimally crossed. Ice caps exposed to the wind, ridges melted free in the course of the day.
Wind drifted snow
Intensity: low
Altitude: 1500 m – 1800 m
Risks
Wind intensity: Low (< 20 km/h)
Most of the sliding snow has already gone, too little fresh snow for snowboards
Overall impression
Finally made the crossing in great conditions. The 5 stars should not be because of too little fresh snow. Carrying passages will increase massively in the next few days, today it was only a few meters. A great day! But I'm really exhausted now, it's going to drag on until midday...
