Snow condition
Yes, it's gone quickly now. While the southern slopes had long been free of snow up to medium altitudes, the northern slopes were still completely snow-free until the beginning of the week. Now, thanks to a foehn storm and 20 degrees, it's over here too up to around 1300m.
Snow quality
Sulz, easy to ride in any exposure.
Risks
The north-facing slopes are/are coming in a big way. Be careful at the weekend, right up to the top! For me, northern slopes are taboo. Everything is too wet here.
Overall impression
A difficult but great season on my local mountain comes to an end today. On a total of 41 days, I had between 1 and 17 runs here, some of them incredibly good, including almost 60 on the steep north flank. Several times there was total destruction all the way up, but this time there was no more refresh powder. I am very satisfied and happy about the great season. The price for this is a brand new ski at the beginning of January, which now looks like the photo despite having been rescued 3 times. Another time is probably hopeless/waste of money, but the season is over here too...I won't be buying any more DPS anyway, I'm not exactly pretty but the base thickness here is ridiculously low...At least I can now actually see that there's carbon and bamboo underneath, so now we have to get back to skiing. The Arlberg also goes quite well...
