Snow condition
In the valley at 850m there was about 15cm yesterday, then quickly rising to 1200m about 50cm in summits at 1800m then up to one meter. Today the snow has already settled quite a bit.
Snow quality
Yesterday 4 stars, this morning only 3 due to the settling. Tonight almost all exposures already had a cap - the sun is now reaching almost everywhere.... Difficult to say what to expect tomorrow. Possibly already firn on south-facing slopes. Otherwise it's more likely to be slush.
Risks
The LLB was and is a threesome. This was even described rather sharply. However, we could not confirm this on both days here in the West Allgäu, the snow cover made a very stable impression. No settling noises, no drifting snow packs, no self-releasing observed. Snow only moved a little on the surface (sluff). It should be mentioned that apart from a few purely north-facing snow bands, there was no more snow up to the summits at 1800m.
Overall impression
Wow for yesterday I give 5 stars today 3. Makes 4 together, what an April finale, wow. Yesterday was the best day after the brilliant January 15th this season...no time for photos, the flow was too brilliant...
