Snow condition
After last week's snowfall, there was another 50-60 cm of snow on top of the Nagelflukette. In the valley it was snowed out again up to about 1100m, there it was about 20 cm. Top at the top, easy to ride down into the valley. Of course, the one or other contact with the ground is inevitable.
Snow quality
Very good in purely northerly exposures. Perfect powder at the top, but probably only until about 10/11 am...middle layers already slightly settled. Funnily enough, the day before - Friday - the snow in the Bregenzerwald wasn't nearly as good, despite continuous snowfall... I've often noticed that the snow only gets really good after a cold, clear night...
Risks
Rather tense despite LLB 2. Last week there was a triple with a bit more fresh snow, which seemed very safe to me, but today there was a double which was definitely a triple for me... The situation on the ground can never be stubbornly transferred into an LLB scheme. Self-releases in steeper terrain below 2000m were already spotted in the morning, also with medium dimensions.
Overall impression
I also let myself be carried away to 5 stars. Incredibly brilliant morning on the Nagelfluhkette with a perfect Farnach descent as the crowning glory. Best conditions of the whole winter on April 29 of all days - after April 19/20 was already borderline brilliant, but still with lift support, so unfortunately there were fewer vertical meters in the downhill rush...but the time window was already closed at around 10 am.
