Snow condition
The only Allgäu valley that has received a little more snow this winter season. This spring ski tour classic is often possible until June, but this year it's May. Descent there up to 1600 hm possible.
Snow quality
Overnight the snow line dropped to 1400m. This resulted in another 5-20 cm of fresh snow, unfortunately a bit heavy and sticky. On the soaked old snow cover + fresh snow, riding was once again really fun "snow surfing".
Risks
was not without its problems today. Heavy precipitation yesterday, with rain and snow, repeatedly caused small wet snow slides. The sunshine in the early afternoon made the whole thing even trickier. But by this time you should be back in the valley!
Overall impression
Better than expected but !!! Unfortunately only for a short window of time. The next few days should be warm again. And that's it for the ski tours in the Allgäu. For great pictures Martin Hölle was responsible again THX
