Snow report Oberstdorf, 11/21/2017
Feuerstätterkopf und Burstkopf ab Balderschwang.
Snow condition
Snow quality
Overall impression
Snow condition
Quite good, especially for November of course. We didn't have any significant contact with the enemy, we only touched a bit of grass or undergrowth in the forest from time to time. But without any consequences for the equipment. In this respect, it was certainly an advantage that the powder snow was wet. Let's see what the next few warm days have in store.
Snow quality
Wet. Unfortunately, it was already too warm today. The first slope of the Feuerstätterkopf was still quite easy to ski in the morning due to its steepness. After that, the snow slowed us down a lot and was exhausting to ski. The downhill photos are both from the first slope, when the snow was still the least wet.
Risks
There was much less wind than yesterday on the Spieser and Saturday on the Höferspitze. Some of the wet snow rolled off, but it wasn't threatening.
Overall impression
Something between one and two stars. It was definitely good to be outside, but the conditions weren't particularly good due to the heat.
