10 - 20 cm of fresh snow on a thin base, with a few centimetres of old snow as a foundation only from 1200 - 1400 m upwards. Actually still too little - but you can't help it.

Moderate avalanche danger up to the tree line. Above the tree line, the influence of wind causes local wind loads to create zones prone to disturbance
Overall impression
Wonderful cold winter day at 6.30 am -16°! Visually a winter dream, but still too little snow for big projects. Individual meadow slopes above 1400 m are still worthwhile. A few ski resorts with a few lifts are opening for the weekend. However, the official start of the season will not be until 7.12 or 14.12.2913. The snow cannons in the Allgäu ski resorts are now producing snow continuously in the cold temperatures.
