No surface quite far up, only from about 1400m then. However, we only rarely hit the meadow and never any bad stones, it went much better than we thought on the way up. Careful riding is of course advisable at the bottom. At the top, the choice of line is somewhat limited due to blown-off slopes.

Nice powder everywhere except in the ridges, even 30-40cm at the top. It was a bit slow though, more suitable for short turns than full throttle skiing. Once again constant powder on the shins :-)

Risks

Drift snow was easy to disturb. We triggered the drift snow on the southeast-facing slope from Hochgrat towards Rindalphorn, but the slope wasn't steep enough for it to continue sliding.

Fun day in the powder :-) I always like it when you can ski mountains with a cable car in the early or late season. However, it was very uncomfortable at the top today due to the wind.
