We started from the hiking parking lot on the Riedberg Pass, currently still without any problems. However, partial ground contact on the descent.
Snow quality
In the morning, there was still a light cover on the forehand, but then the snow cover soaked through pretty quickly. At 6:30 in the morning it was already 7 degrees on the Fellhorn.
Risks
According to the LLB warning level 1-2, the main problem at the moment is likely to be the soaked snow cover. At higher altitudes, drifting snow is also playing a role. It was quite windy yesterday, so some of the lifts remained closed. There were also a few centimetres of fresh snow.
Overall impression
Super weather and the first tour of the year, what more could you want. Unfortunately, the snow wasn't perfect, but it was still great for the first day on skis.
