Snow condition
According to Meteo, there has been 125 cm of fresh snow in the Oberstdorf / Kleinwalsertal region in the last 72 hours. I can confirm this. Unfortunately, there is no reliable old snow base for the masses of fresh snow.
Snow quality
Beautiful cold powder snow - it was so dusty. With 120 mm under the bindings, you could "really" float in places...
Risks
Due to yesterday's wind + fresh snow of another 15 - 30 cm, the tricky spots are in the gullies / hollows. There were also a few loose snow slides in the steep terrain.
Overall impression
Last season, I never used the wide slats here in the region. It was actually amazing - a few days ago, skiing/boarding was only possible on a few artificial snow slopes. And in no time at all there was over a meter of powder. Unfortunately, "only" 1 meter of base is missing ... So instead of full throttle - keep your eyes open in the terrain.
