Snow condition
In the valley approx. 20-30 cm of snow, further up from approx. 1400 then approx. 40-50 cm of snow. It's enough to be able to ski on meadow slopes, but you can still get through to the ground.
Snow quality
Approx. 10-20 cm of fresh snow. Underneath a somewhat harder, settled layer of old snow. If there was a bit more than just 10 cm, it would certainly be top conditions.
Risks
According to the LLB, warning level 2 below 2000m, warning level three above. I can't confirm the drift snow problem, yesterday and today it was pretty windless. I couldn't find any other signs of drift snow either. The snow profile showed an approx. 40-50cm high snow cover. The first 10 to max. 20 cm of this was fresh snow, below which was a settled, but probably once soaked, layer of old snow.
Overall impression
Nice first real ski touring day. We were able to ski down quite well in places and at least the skis stayed intact. But it really is time for Ullr to bring the next good load to the north, otherwise it will probably look bad again over the next few days.
